Two primary kinds of modular building construction or pre-fabricated construction exist, and those are mobile office units and modular buildings. Both types of building are made of the same materials used in traditional construction and they are both built in a factory-controlled setting. The modules can be anywhere from 10-18 feet wide by 36-76 feet long - the width of the module varies with state shipping laws.
Usually, about ninety percent of a modular building is pre-constructed at the factory. Every module is constructed with walls, ceilings, room rugs as well as wiring. Building modules are next constructed to create a seamless structure when it arrives at its destination.
